At the start of this year, I tried to write a haiku a day but got lazy towards the end of January. I'll try to start back up again soon and hopefully write 30 or so new haikus to make up for lost time. Here are December and January's highlights.
January 22:
The clock's numbers are
alien shapes; woke on a
strange planet today.
January 18:
The sun is clearest,
is cleanest, in freezing cold,
in early morning.
January 9:
Wish I could read minds
so I could tell if someone
out there could read mine.
December 30:
Every day melts and
folds like lips of salt water
taffy and warm spit.
December 28:
Another show: same
old shit. I miss my rock and
roll optimism.
December 27:
A lonely flight home.
Wish I could get drunk with the
sorry co-pilot.
